Later this year, the much anticipated 'it' gadget from Apple, the iPhone 3G will be launched in partnership with Globe Philippines.
Different from previous iPhone, the latest iPhone will be shipped with 3G functionality (pretty much faster internet connection that the EDGE) and GPS (Global Positioning System, for those who want to know their directions & maps). With all of the hype, sure this phone will attract gadget-addict alike with good design and features. But I still don't know when, I will inform you, when I got the news. Actually the subject for this blog entry is way month old.
“We are very excited to be working with Apple to bring Filipino consumers iPhone 3G later this year,” said Gerardo C. Ablaza, Jr. president and CEO of Globe Telecom. “Our customers are our greatest passion and we’re constantly striving to offer them the most innovative products such as the revolutionary iPhone 3G.”
“We are thrilled to bring iPhone 3G to millions of mobile customers in the Philippines,” said Tim Cook, Apple’s COO. “We can’t wait to get this revolutionary mobile device in the hands of even more people around the world.”
I wonder if Globe will follow the $199 and $299 value for iPhone 3G 8GB and 16GB respectively (which will value to P8800 and P13200 respectively if $1.00 = P44.00, damn, that's an early calculation, I am not sure about this, because our economy is unstable). Well, that would be another news for Filipino iPhone fans out there.
The only thing we can do is wait (but I'm going to digg deeper and get some news).
Apple Company gave us the iPod, iMac and MacBook.
